Tuscumbia Church of Christ

Our Forever Family Reunions

New Beginnings Weekend

God has given us a very great gift...the power of song! One of the chief things that Christians are renowned for, both historically and universally, is the beauty of singing songs and making music in our hearts. We will be singing both old school hymns, as well as, newer devotional songs. There will even be some songs that are much newer that we will be learning as well. Come join us as we sing to the Lord, blessing his name, and as we sing of the Lord, declaring his glory. Young at Heart Valentine's Banquet

Congregations are “soul communities” where young and old are soul-mates bound together as an extended family of God. How can we assure that our "Young at Heart" are cared for and honored as resourceful contributors to community life, wisdomgivers, and exemplars of the faith. Each year our teens host an annual Valentine's Day banquet to show how much we deeply appreciate their tremendous leadership and example. After all, they are our spiritual giants!
Women's Retreat

Why a retreat? Why not just a vacation? Basically it all comes down to the power of intention. Vacations, by definition, are periods of rest, relaxation,  and travel. They are opportunities to step outside our normal day-to-day activities, especially work and to rediscover how to relax, to play, to see new places and people. We return to our normal life refreshed, invigorated, ready again for the challenges of our life. Read more...
Tying the Knot

"Striving together to strengthen our marriages as we grow closer to God, built upon the foundation of His word."

With the realization that the home is the most influential place upon one's spiritual development, the mission of the Tuscumbia church of Christ is to provide avenues by which new marriages will be firmly grounded, good marriages will be strengthened, and troubled marriages will be saved. With Christ as our focus and example, our hope will always be to build stronger marriages, stronger homes.

AIR Camp

The Bible tells us that children are a reward from God (Psalm 127:3). It would certainly seem fitting, then, that we heed Solomon’s wise counsel to train them appropriately. In fact, the value that God placed on teaching our children the truth is clearly addressed by Moses who stressed to his people the importance of teaching their children about the Lord and His commands and laws: “Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and your gates” Read more...
Family Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School, or VBS, is a fun-filled program many churches offer, usually during the summer months, to connect with the children in their communities. Vacation Bible School is an outreach meant to bring in children who don’t normally attend church and to teach them the gospel. As an evangelistic tool, VBS helps churches fulfill the Great Commission found in Matthew 28, but what if we reach out to more than just the children. Read more...

Fall Fellowship

Hayrides. Haunted Forests. Bonfires. Homemade desserts. Freshly smoked barbeque. It can only mean one thing. It's time for the "forever family" to head on over the the plantation home of Harold & Debra Kimbrough. A fun-filled fellowship for the entire congregation and friends to enjoy.

Just bring a side dish (potato salad, baked beans, slaw, chips, or a dessert) and join us for a great night together.

Trunk or Treat / Chili Supper

Picture this: a huge parking lot with vehicles decorated in a variety of fun themes; complete with games and treats. Young children and even their parents dressed up in costume. The aroma of fresh, homemade chili lingers in the air and the sound of wonderful fellowship comes from all around. From babies on up to grandparents, there is something for everyone. What a fun way to spend the evening as a family!
